Consistency of the Gmlewith Mixed Case Interval - Censored

چکیده
In this paper we consider an interval censorship model in which the end-points of the censoring intervals are determined by a two stage experiment. In the rst stage the value k of a random integer is selected; in the second stage the endpoints are determined by a case k interval censorship model. We prove the strong consistency in the L 1 ()-topology of the nonparametric maximum likelihood estimate of the underlying survival function for a measure which is derived from the distributions of the endpoints. This consistency result yields strong consistency for the topologies of weak convergence, pointwise convergence and uniform convergence under additional assumptions. These results improve and generalize existing ones in the literature.

Estimation with Univariate “mixed Case” Interval Censored Data
In this paper, we study the Nonparametric Maximum Likelihood Estimator (NPMLE) of univariate “Mixed Case” interval-censored data in which the number of observation times, and the observation times themselves are random variables. We provide a characterization of the NPMLE, then use the ICM algorithm to compute the NPMLE. We also study the asymptotic properties of the NPMLE: consistency, global ...
متن کاملMixed Case Interval Censored Data with a Cured Subgroup
Mixed case interval censored data arise when the event time of interest is only known to lie in an interval obtained from a sequence of k random examinations, where k is a random integer. In this article, we consider mixed case interval censored data with a cured subgroup, where subjects in this subgroup are not susceptible to the event of interest. Such data may be encountered in medical and d...
متن کاملSemi-Nonparametric Modeling of Densities on the Unit Interval, with Application to Interval-Censored Mixed Proportional Hazard Models: Identification and Consistency Results
In this paper I propose to estimate densities with possibly restricted support semi-nonparametrically (SNP) using SNP densities on the unit interval based on orthonormal Legendre polynomials. This approach will be applied to the interval censored mixed proportional hazard (ICMPH) model, where the distribution of the unobserved heterogeneity is modeled semi-nonparametrically. Various conditions ...

متن کاملOn Consistency of the Self-consistent Estimator of Survival Functions with Interval-censored Data
The self-consistent estimator is commonly used for estimating a survival function with interval-censored data. Recent studies on interval censoring have focused on case 2 interval censoring, which does not involve exact observations, and double censoring, which involves only exact, right-censored or left-censored observations. In this paper, we consider an interval censoring scheme that involve...
